About the event

In this season, our podcast team delves into what makes a "good rebel" in health care and how we, as health leaders, can challenge the status quo and inspire positive change and transformation in our health system.

Our guest for the launch episode is Ene Underwood, the CEO of Habitat for Humanity, who leads a team that defies the odds, empowering working families to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. Her insights into navigating one of the most challenging residential real estate markets in North America promise to be enlightening and inspiring for other "rebels".

Our hosts, Mobeen Lalani (MHI 2021) and Matthew Goulbourne (MHSc 2020) will explore Ene's remarkable journey from health leadership in hospitals and the private sector to her pivotal transition to fulfilling her true calling in housing. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of an insightful dialogue that goes beyond conventional leadership narratives.

The Built to Lead podcast is a companion offering of Vernissage Health. Affiliated with IHPME and the Rotman School of Management, Vernissage Health supports the development of emerging and early career leaders in health. Led by a dedicated team of IHPME and Rotman students and alumni, the podcast team goes beyond the conventional to explore contemporary ideas and experiences about health leadership with a diverse, new generation of leaders.

Previous seasons of Built to Lead can be accessed at Built to Lead - The Health Leaders of Tomorrow Podcast - Hosted by Vernissage Health (acast.com) and on other streaming platforms.
